Who runs this site
ProjectMeasured is run by Zain Ali from Pakistan. For privacy questions, contact me at contact@projectmeasured.com.
Your inputs and saved projects
Your calculator inputs and saved project stay in your browser. The calculators do not send them to us. There is no account system.
My project uses your browser's local database, called IndexedDB. Saved estimates include labels, measurements, units, product choices, allowances, supplier notes and prices. Unsaved measurements are not automatically saved.
Clear project removes your saved estimates from this browser, including copies kept from earlier versions of the site. It keeps a small marker, containing no project data, so those older copies are never restored. Your current on-screen measurements stay until you change them or leave the page.
To remove all of this site's saved browser data, clear its site data in your browser settings. Clearing data, browser storage eviction or losing the device can remove saved work. Keep a copy of estimates you need. Clearing browser data does not remove copies you have shared, printed or saved elsewhere.
Sharing, copying and printing
A share link contains the selected estimate or project, including labels, inputs, product details, notes and prices. It is encoded in the part of the URL after the # symbol. It is not encrypted. Anyone with the link can read it. Avoid putting addresses or personal details in labels or notes.
The share part is read in the recipient's browser and is not sent to our hosting server as part of the page request. An incoming project opens for review; it does not replace a saved project automatically. Browser history and services you paste a link into may keep a copy.
A local edit link may include an estimate ID in the URL query. That ID is sent with the page request, but it is not the full estimate. Copying uses your clipboard. Printing uses your browser's print function. Where you send a link, copied text or printout is your choice.
Hosting and technical data
Cloudflare serves and protects this site. It processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and request information, to deliver pages and protect the service. This is separate from the calculator's local project storage. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its data practices.
Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free service that measures page views and page performance. It does not use cookies or local storage and is not used to track individual visitors across sites.
We add no ad or tracking cookies of our own. The browser storage described above supports your saved project, not advertising. We do not use Google Analytics.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message you choose to send, including any attached inputs or share links. We use that information to read and respond to your request. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
Messages sent to contact@projectmeasured.com are delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox, so Cloudflare and Google also process them under their own privacy policies.
Future advertising and your choices
We do not currently show ads. The following describes what will apply if we add Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If we enable other advertising vendors or networks, we will identify them and link to their websites and available choices here before they serve ads.
Consent for visitors in Europe
Before personalized ads are used for visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we will ask for consent through a Google-certified consent message using a platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. No advertising consent platform is active on this site yet.
US state privacy questions
We do not sell personal information. If you have a question or a request about personal information under your state's privacy rules, use the contact details above. Saved projects are held in your browser, so we cannot access or erase them remotely; you can clear this site's browser data yourself.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We will date updates to this policy and explain material changes here.
