About ProjectMeasured
Who builds ProjectMeasured
I'm Zain Ali, a software developer who builds free calculators for home and yard projects. I'm not a contractor or engineer.
A clear list before you buy
A home project often needs more than a volume calculation. It needs a product, a whole number of bags or blocks, and a list you can take to a supplier. ProjectMeasured exists to help homeowners leave with a clear buy list, not just a number.
You can adjust allowances, enter local prices and keep estimates from different calculators in one project list. No account is required.
How the calculators are checked
The formulas and product figures come from published manufacturer and industry references. Automated tests check fixed inputs against independently worked answers and source figures. Selected cases are also compared with other public calculators, with differences in products and allowances taken into account.
Each calculator shows a last-checked date. That records a calculation and content check, not a site visit or an engineering review. See the formulas, sources and testing approach.
How AI helps
Claude and Codex help write code and first drafts. They help turn calculation rules into working tools and explanations. I review, test and publish everything.
Know the limits
These tools estimate material quantities. They do not provide structural or engineering advice. Check product instructions, local building codes and a qualified professional for structural or load-bearing work.
Report a mistake
If something looks wrong, send me the inputs and the result shown. Confirmed mistakes are fixed and noted in the change log.
